For most of my life, I’ve loved being an editor, even as what’s involved in that role has changed over time.

As a kid growing up in Texas, I delighted in fixing spelling errors and grammatical mistakes on quizzes and in essays. Maybe it was the clear sense of correct versus incorrect, right versus wrong, that drew me in.
