This year has marked a period of transition at the Anchorage Daily News, and as we continue moving forward in our next era, we’re thrilled to introduce several additions to our staff of talented, experienced journalists. These new ADN reporters and editors have started working in the newsroom in recent weeks, and we hope you’ll join us in welcoming them. You may have already read coverage from education reporter Tim Rockey, who grew up in Palmer and started working in our newsroom in August. Over several years, he has reported for Alaska Public Media, Alaska’s News Source and the Mat-Su Valley Frontiersman.
Reporter Chris Aadland is covering breaking news and Indigenous issues. He’s previously reported for the Confederated Umatilla Journal, Underscore Native News/ Indian Country Today, Montana Free Press, Casper Star-Tribune and Wisconsin State Journal.
